Zwartkop is a family business.
Otway Hayes was Zwartkop’s first golf professional; a position he held for 56 years, from 1940 to 1996. His son, Brian, joined him in 1981 and he’s now the Managing Director of the Club. Younger brother Dale bought the business in 2001 and has been intimately involved in all aspects of running the Club since then.
Brian and Dale’s son’s Ian and Adam, are members of the PGA of South Africa and are responsible for the golf shop, corporate memberships and corporate golf days.
The staff at Zwartkop is considered family, which would explain why the Hayes family calls Zwartkop, home.
